Just finished the VIP tour of Paisley Park!

As noted, the outside looks like a generic auto dealer, but the inside space is very warm and artfully done. For those not from MN, this is about 20 minutes west of DT Mpls.
There are only a handful of areas that have been updated to make it into more of a museum, most of the spaces that were part of the tour were just as they were when Prince was alive and living/working there. Many murals on the walls, many many gold and platinum records and other awards along the hallways.
We got to see recording studios A and B, his private editing suite, all just as he left them. They were all homey and beautiful custom-built music work spaces. Studio C, which was his performance rehearsal space, had artifacts and displays from Purple Rain, and no longer has the basketball hoop. The large concert hall has stage displays for different tours, as well as a couple of his cars. Everywhere you looked there were guitars and amps and pianos, and pictures from his whole career. I assume the 2nd floor (which we didn't see) was more his private living space, while the first floor was mostly offices and studios.
The VIP version of the tour is longer, and included some rooms not part of the regular tour. Since it's Sunday, we also got brunch in the NPG Music Club served by the Paisley Park Kitchen. A very cool experience and surprise outing from @tweedlydo.
