WASHINGTON - There's nothing like a fine scotch, but would you enjoy it as much if it came in a can? Scottish Spirits tested the idea out in the Caribbean and South America. The company now plans to bring it to the U.S. in December. The 12-ounce can is expected to sell for $5. The canned whiskey is designed to maintain the liquor's taste. It's supposed to be shared by three people, and is about eight shots. The company says the whiskey is a blend of malt and grain, with honey, vanilla, apples, butterscotch and pears. The Scotch Whisky Association apparently isn't too happy with the novelty drink.
