Before a shirt becomes a shirt there are four options an independent tee shirt artist has.
1. Sell to a client who prints and sells the design.
2.Print and sell the shirts themselves, this is costly and hard for artist to do.
3. Use a service like red bubble or zazzle to handle the printing and shipping. This is an easy way to make the shirt available to the public but not really a good way to make income for the artist, they usually get $1 per sale.
4. The last way is with tee shirt contest like the one here at DBH (Design by Humans), It offers the best reward for the artist, but the catch is you need votes to get the attention of the decision makers on the site who pick the winners. These decision makers need to know that a design they pick is going to be worth the prize money.
So if you could help me vote for this shirt, and leave a comment stating that you really want it, The artist and me (I really want this shirt) would be very grateful.
