Test of my [then] new Vivitar 28/2 late last year, processed in Capture One. Taken with a Pentax K5.
Went to town a bit: Fine-tuned sharpening and noise reduction to balance quality at ISO1600 (200% at 0.9 pixel radius, 0.5 threshold). Created LCC to open up the shadows; set its effect to 20%. Also added +20 for highlight recovery and +7 for shadows in the HDR tab.
The photo strip along the top looked a bit dull and reddish so I added a Local Adjustments layer, then selected the colour background of the licquor licensing sign in the Color Editor, and reduced its saturation to -30%.
I also exported four separately colour-corrected cropped strips of the fridge contents (one for the drinks fridge and three for the cake fridge), and used layer masks to incorporate them seamlessly in Pixelmator.
The next post will be as straight a rendition of the original as I can manage—no sharpening, and default settings
