@jeffreymcmanus It's kind of a sexy brutalist to me. Hopefully that's an option, doesn't seem so sad as most brutalist stuff.

@jeffreymcmanus @mathowie This is more 'Brutalist Lite', to me. The amount of windows really break up the heavy industrial feel you get from buildings like many you see here in DC from the 50's and 60's. I always thought of this more like a tree, or even perhaps a mind, expanding into the world.

I got into both UCSD and Berkeley. UCSD arrived in the mail first, and until Berkeley's showed up I was strongly considering UCSD on the basis of this library alone.

Are you going to watch it? I'm half afraid of a cringefest, half afraid of the fodder it's going to provide the meme-sphere for the coming six months.

Dunno, I think it could use some street names. Makes it look as though Church Street and Van Ness abut each other at Market, which is decidedly not the case. And let's be honest, nobody ever actually refers to Corona Heights, Lone Mountain, or Anza Vista by those names.

Love it! Although it's missing Dolores Heights & Eureka Valley. I like that the Panhandle is the Panhandle (Nopa) instead of just Nopa.

@kimbrel I refer to Corona Heights as Corona Heights, but I live in Duboce Triangle and spend way too much time looking at real estate.

@amber what does Nopa stand for? I lived in the Panhandle for years and don't remember people using that term ten years ago.

When we moved here it was the Panhandle, and it's always been sorta vague to me where Nopa really is. The city has been doing a ton of work on Divisadero the past few years though and a ton of new stuff is going in around the Nopa restaurant.

Yeah so there are 55 heads in this image representing, I think, 41 people. I am clearly just a curmudgeon though because I can't tell the difference between some of those greens.
