@tevan giving in and just eating animals? the book is his research on why we eat some animals and not others, and from the reviews and comments i've read, makes a case for why we shouldn't eat them.

can i ask in general, what does your diet consist of? i'm wondering if it will be more complicated attempting vegetarianism in a developing country.

how embarrassing. 31 years old, 18 years into vegetarianism, and I still don't eat right. but in typing that I realized that I've been vegetarian over half my life, and that feels good.

I used to take solace in my saving at least one animal in the course of my being vegetarian, which was infinitely more than none and exciting because that animal could have been me. but surely by now I've saved at least two animals, which is even more exciting. I wonder who the second animal is.

I'm getting distracted, but it's partially on purpose because I eat a lot of processed garbage. I never read up on what I should eat, and a lot of potential vegetarians get concerned about their health. I think that's mostly legit, but it's also an excuse to continue eating meat and to abandon the adventure of saving animals.

if you tell yourself meat doesn't exist, that it's simply not an option, you will find the food you need to keep yourself breathing (and healthy). to answer your question more directly, while I do eat a bunch of packaged veggie burgers, I get fresh salads, beans, milk, tofu, eggs, cheese, bread, and candy into my belly. (mostly candy.)

If I could survive on candy, chocolate, and peanut (and almond) butter alone, I would.

@patrickneville I've had this since 2007 and it's still great. I had to get a new battery a few months ago though, literally the day I was leaving the US.
