I got a sandalwood candle and some orange refrigerator magnets for less than a dollar total. Jim got an entire kitchen's worth of plates/small plates/bowls/glasses (and eight of those chemical handwarmers) for under $20.

Oh man, I've been trying to remember the name of that store for years.

We don't have anything like it around here -- the nearest chain store like it is Ollie's, but that's more like Big Lots than a proper warehouse auction store.

Come to think of it, we also have a J*R Cigars about 40 miles away with a disproportionately large cologne counter, perfume counter, health and beauty section with makeup brands my partner says she's only ever seen overseas... No clothing aside from jeans and leathers, and no tools and hardware.

Syrup from librarian = $36

That's how it works in the US. For a $12 haircut that took half an hour it seems totally reasonable to me.
