No-tire bike
The WOW bike by Ron Arad. I'm not a bike person at all but I thought this was cool. Wheels made of steel, so there's no more inflating or any worry of flats - it's basically just a frame on a suspension. This is a one-off, not available for sale, and it's on display in London. Something to do with Elton John's AIDS foundation.
I wonder what happens on days like today where it's wet. I can imagine that'd be a disaster. But, if just used this as the while and put a regular tire over it (without an innertube) maybe it'd be perfect.
Yeah, I'm sure there are plenty of impracticalities that would have to be thought through before it's actually useable. And I can imagine it being a comically bouncy ride. But it's so cool-looking and I just love seeing people coming up with really creative ideas.
