That has always bothered me, too. But root beer is the best flavor, so why eat any other? Question: has anyone ever actually saved dum-dum wrappers and turned them in for "stuff"?

I could be wrong but i think those are tootsie pops that you can send the wrapper in and gets stuff. When I was a kid you tried to find the guy pointing his arrow at a star or something

@OzOnE @janzpantz The Tootsie Pop shooting star indian has been around for as long as I've been jamming candy in my beak, but these Dum Dum's also carry some sort of "save these up and send 'em in" promotion.

@arto @XYLENE @cow Ok, the picture doesn't show it as well as I thought, but the "kangaroo pouch" in question isn't the standard hoodie pocket (which is totally acceptable). This one had some sort of "second" pocket that for lack of a better term was a "top loader" and it looked like it was engineered to hold a beer or something.

I still can't explain why it made me so angry.
