The few alterations included replacing half the veg stock with turkey stock (we still have a bunch from Thanksgiving that I'm trying to clear out of the freezer), and skipping the jalapeño to increase palatability for my boys, who don't like "spicy". Added maybe another 1/4-1/3 cup of corn to their portions for similar reasons.
Next time I might add another half avo, and one slightly less soft (it was about a day too ripe for this application), and sneak in some paprika or a lesser amount of cayenne powder in place of the jalapeño, and possibly some diced onion.
