So I decided to try and make bagel chips, since I found a bagel shop in my neighborhood that sells bags of old bagels for $1. Here's what I did:
Cut 'em up - put 'em on a cookie sheet. Brush 'em with butter and oil. Sprinkle with seasoning. Bake for about 10 minutes. (I did 325.) Cool on a rack. YUM.
First batch I just did EVOO, butter, salt and a little garlic. Good, but a little meh.
Second batch, I brushed a little more liberally with the oil/butter. This batch also had the cinnamon raisin bagel, so on those I just used butter for that, plus some more cinnamon and a sprinkle of both salt (yes!) and sugar. For the savory ones I added some EVOO to the brushing and sprinkled with celery salt and pepper. WINNER.
