Love and sadness, pride and jealousy
alt text
I finally got around to streaming this show. Had to look elsewhere as Netflix hasn't got it yet and it's not included with Amazon Prime.
I love it like nearly nothing I've ever watched and constantly recommend it to everyone. It's the first show I've ever marathoned. I've had to set a limit of five episodes a day or I'll O.D. on it and not get anything done. It's the token philosophy class thought question about the "happy box." The longer I'm in the harder it is to come out.
I love it and I'm jealous of them all at the same time. They're fictional people and yet they have fun in a way I never knew I wanted. I have a wife and kids though, so maybe I'm just messing up a good thing. No one quotes movies with me in real life. My college lives were much more boring. I want a friend to do the Troy and Abed handshake with, or finish each other's pie.
I know the series is done. I'm reading a story and hoping I never reach the final page. I'm enjoying it while it lasts. It's fun seeing all the scenes until now I only knew as gifs from the interwebs. I'm only just into Season 3, so please don't spoil it by telling me who leaves or who arrives. I'll experience it all in my own timeline.
Thanks for listening to an odd rant/whine I was somehow compelled to put out there right before going to sleep. Felt oddly cathartic typing this here. This show will end, as our beloved MLKSHK will end. It'll be OK. We'll find and discover new inventive people and their incredible creations. We'll live in each others lives for a bit then go our separate ways as that very life dictates. And we'll be OK.
I'll be jealous of others, even in fiction, but I understand someone will be jealous of me and my life. I'll wise up and understand I have to be happy to find happiness. I've done it before, several times. I'll do it again. I have to stop now, my eyes are sweating.

I haven't checked the show out yet, beyond half an episode, but that's beautifully written, regardless of whether I end up liking the show or not. Very well-said.

@ignignokt Thank you. I appreciate that thought. :-)
