@KitKat 1/2c white vinegar, 1/2c rice vinegar, one demerara sugar cube, tbsp salt, generous shake of dried chile flakes, 1c water. Stir. It wasn't quite enough and I thought it might be too vinegary, so I poured some water over the top to cover the vegetables and added a little more salt. It's a modification of the vietnamese quick pickle recipe I like. I used less sugar here and more salt, because I want to get something less sweet.
