Do you have a good system for making improvements? I always want to do this, but I don't want to go the calligraphy route and can't think of any other ways to do it (other than adopting random styles).
@subbes @NickSeam I'm curious now too. To me, that's AWESOME handwriting. Are you looking to improve for professional reasons, or just for your own personal satisfaction? I don't write enough (by hand) for it to be a concern for me so I'd love to know who'll end up reading your expert penmanship. :-)
@subbes I was referring to working on your handwriting. Was curious if this was an exercise in self-improvement or if you were an artist in a very specific idiom or what. In any event, keep on truckin'.
@subbes I'm interested in the book they have for Southpaws. My attempts to improve my handwriting with fountain pens are often thwarted by my handiness.
I'm with @justabaldguy - This is easily the best handwriting I've ever seen. I personally don't write enough to concern myself with it, and when I do write speed is the only thing I care about because my boss talks fast.
@NickSeam @cow @justabaldguy Aha! I started working on my handwriting again after a bout of RSI that meant I couldn't use ballpoints because of how much pressure they required.
I switched back to fountain pens, which were an idle obsession of mine as a child. As a child I was limited to cheap "student" pens, but now I have a little disposable income so I can delve back into vintage pens and fancy ink - my favourites are a Waterman from 1900, an Esterbrook from the 1930s, and two that belonged to my Dad. With such fancy writing implements, I needed to do justice to them.
@ktrey - I'm a lefty as well! Don't give up. The key is consistent practice. I've not tried any of the books for southpaws but you might find some reviews on FPN: http://www.fountainpennetwork.com/forum...
You probably wouldn't like my technique - I've been using a scanned version of a copybook from 1885!
