@Phaeilo Great question. Per capita, the U.S. gun murder rate is 5.25 times higher than the next highest rate, which is Canada. It's 9.65x higher than Finland's, 12.76x higher than Germany's, 19.67x higher than Australia's, 23.84x higher than Spain's, and 42.51x higher than England & Wales'.
Yet in Switzerland they issue an automatic weapon to every male when he turns 18. Maybe the problem isn't access to weapons, but in the way that we regulate them and in how we manage social problems like poverty and mental illness.
i lived in england for years..despite the fact they drink like fish and are generally rowdy..the tough gun laws prevent rampant murder..it just works...!!
