Tilly Devine

Before she had turned 25, Tilly Devine had almost 70 convictions for prostitution, offensive behaviour and indecent language. In 1925 she was jailed for two years for a razor attack on a man. She became a notorious madam and was called Sydney’s “Queen of the night”.

There is a bar in Canberra named after her. I like it there.
