no swastika?.jpg

client is a very good friend of mine. German citizen, very sensitive about German past history, especially with me because I'm Jewish. He really likes the logo, which I've made for him, but is concerned that it might look too much like a swastika. I'm too close to it to judge, although I don't see it myself. What do you see? I've played with less rigid / more humanistic sans faces, but none of them match the angles and scale of the iris. The company is Michael Kressner Photography. Suggestions?

I like it. Doesn't look the least bit swastikle to me. More reminiscent of turn of the century industrial logos. Nice.

It does not look like a swastika at all. Firstly, the spiral "arms" are 8, not four. The rotation is not that of a swastika, nor is there any right angle junctions.

The shape suggests a camera aperture in mid "click", that is the only immediate impression. And it is conveyed well.

The top row, the left most grey and the top row watermark are my favorites, but the top row rightmost is also excellent.

I agree with XYLENE, looks like the aperture of a camera.

Moving the initials off center, as in the last one on row three, breaks the centrality. To me that one looks most like an iris (or the gun barrel in the James Bond intro) and least like a swastika.
