@stereomike111 Sure you don't want to move to the U.S.?
BTW, for a family of four, our new premium was going to be $1,350/month. With $6,000 deductibles. But Lady Whorfin is currently sans much income mid-career change, so we do qualify for some ACA assistance. Of course, we have to guess at our eventual 2017 income, and if we underestimate, we have to pay back a little to all the assistance at the end of the year. Until such time as the ACA is obliterated, and then we just get to pay whatever the insurance company(ies) decide.
@LordJohnWhorfin Ouch. We don't have to have private insurance in Australia but there are incentives for doing so (or more accurately disincentives for not doing so) - accordingly wife and I have very cheap coverage - it's about $4,000 a year for both of us.
But everyone has Medicare anyway - private cover is more for dental and hospital.
