We have lived in that world all of our lives. We are only calling attention to some of these distinctions because today so many of us assert that those claims are fucked up.
@tweedlydo The distinction has always mattered, although many of us have managed to spend most of our lives without having to dwell on the ontology of racism. (I'll admit that even though I've been aware of the distinction, it's only in the past year that I've realized the ways in which the distinction matters.)
@Lord_John_Whorfin Now that these people are in charge, and if they are going to treat us as their enemy, we need to know what we can about them, because information is a tool and a weapon. Weakening a unified group by instigating them into fighting over their own differences is like Sun Tzu 101-level strategy. And it's been working hella well against the Left for decades now.
We're really going to have to look alive if we want to divide and conquer that crowd - so far it's been characterized best by staunch alliances among groups with a wide variety of no-compromise issues that are not necessarily compatible with each other. People who vote Democratic Party don't have that unity of purpose.
@ardgedee i completely agree with you and while part of me would like to return to a world where i can lump all these folks in question into the category "garbage people to avoid" i really appreciate your words to whorfin and am all about smashing a resistance of garbage people into tiny bits. i want to watch them unravel and disintegrate like Oogie Boogie.
