@spingo here's one place in the US http://www.nibs.com/NamikiFa... @freitag you and me both! A beer helps with essential tremor and calligraphy as you know of course. But it won't be like above. :-(
@spingo @joost I can vouch for Richard Binder's pen tuning/modding, but he's semi-retired now and will only do work in-person at pen shows. Pen shows are neat, though! So if he attends one near you, drop in. http://www.richardspens.com/...
@ardgedee Link or die!
@joost @ardgedee I don't have anywhere near the disposable income required for full participation, but did get some Blue Pumpkins and I am terrible.

I killed my Noodler's Konrad but the art nib isn't bad and I plan to replace it at some point.
Noodlers are good introductory pens. Some of the models feel really nice in the hand but in generally I've found them hard to tune well.
For a replacement you should check Fountain Pen Revolution. They're a reliable reseller of a few Indian manufacturers and their prices are lower than Noodler (pens start at $7, most are in the $15 range). In fact you might find some resemblances to Noodler's pens, not coincidentally...
http://www.fountainpenrevolution.com/ They also have a U.S.-based store now that will ship from within the US -- smaller range of products, higher prices, much quicker delivery. If you're not in a hurry I recommend using the Indian store.
@ardgedee I once ordered a couple of cheapies from them! Which I ruined by leaving Platinum carbon ink in them.
I use isellpens.com when I can, as they're a couple of miles from me. I bought them out of these for like $2 a pen. Great for drawing!

Yeah I have a Hero pen with a similar nib (the type of nib is "fude").
Hero also makes interesting dirt-cheap pens too... I don't know what current prices are but a couple years ago their Parker 31 knockoffs were in the $3 range, $1/each for a box of 10.

Now I use a couple of these happily.

Just want to take a moment to make sure that this comment doesn't go unappreciated.
