@ardgedee A couple of years ago the new thing at the MN State Fair was frozen berry foam on top of beer, a thing that also started first in Japan (AFAIK).
1. Write to the State Fair and ask. They don't know and only said that the photo was "supplied" but it was nice of them to get back to me.
2. Find an article online about the vendors & learn that this particular thing was done by Rabbit Hole
3. Google Rabbit Hole to find some pictures of the Rabbit Hole people
4. Find a photo of Thomas Kim (and his wife and kid) clearly showing that tattoo
5. Try to find more tattoo backstory to see if I can actually narrow it down further than that (no) but read great tattoo stories generally
6. Get lost down internet rabbit hole of Minneapolis food, realize I have actually eaten at their place when it was The Left Handed Cook the last time I was in Minneapolis (it was SO GOOD)
I do notice that most of the sites that use the image from the State Fair actually do crop out Mr. Kim's tattoo which I think is a damned shame. Very clear shot of it here on the restaurant's instagram profile.
