@RGPphotog An understandable first reaction, but generally speaking... cables don't really "go bad" when you install them with that level of craftsmanship. In any case, presumably the color-coding on the ends is there to help.
And I can't quite tell from the boot-covers on the end, but I doubt those are even ethernet cables, probably either fiber or coaxial cables, in which case they are a single insulated copper wire and bolted on there wrench-tight.
This actually brings back terrible memories for me when I was working as a designer for a small shop but I was "the gadget guy" and everyone knew it. They bought a new printer to print specialized ads for vehicles, busses, etc and it couldn't be found on the network. It was a crash-course in networking as I spent almost 3 days without sleep trying to figure out why it wasn't working. Until I found a collision in the lower router with one of our normal printers. Moved the printer to a new router and all was solved. Felt great to solve the problem but a network person could have found it in minutes, not days. I've hated networking ever since.
