@freitag Yeah, I thought of that right after I posted. That would be a huge downside since I sort of assume DE taxes are higher than US. But I'd hope you'd at least get to deduct the amount you pay to Uncle Sam from the amount you pay to Uncle Helmut (or Tante Angela I guess)? I recall my ex-pat friends that live in the UK pay both, but deduct local £s from their US 1040s.
Not specific to Trump alone, having EU/UK/even CA citizenship and being able to work/live abroad for even a few years has always been something I thought would be keen. A shame it's probably financially unviable.
