@LordJohnWhorfin I drew about half of these xmas cards on my Galaxy Note 3, and it made me giddy. The max res is too low for anything much bigger than a card, though.

Time is a Flat Stylus
People making fun of this have never experienced paying Wacom $85 for a flimsy light plastic replacement Intuos stylus plus $2 apiece for the soft plastic nibs.
People making fun of this don't know Apple. They say a lot of shit and then years-later fly in the face of it. Mostly due to what @NickSeam said. But I also think they want to throw people off the scent or react to market needs.
It's not that ridiculous to buy the media, ride it out 3 decades and convince people your ideas are new.
@ardgedee @Ayeco Wacom is absolutely frustrating. Decent size tablets are absurdly expensive, and feel completely unnatural with the multiple monitor setups common for designers over the last 15+ years. Driver support is terrible, I have two different tablets unusable due to lack of current OS drivers.
I still liked using a Wacom in Photoshop, specifically because pressure sensitivity changes brush size. Though since I usually spend more time in InDesign and Illustrator I prefer the precision, control, and easy scrolling of a mouse. I feel like if somebody (Apple? On the magic mouse?) were offer pressure-sensitive clicking on the mouse button, I would never be tempted by a Wacom again.

That said, the big difference is I sure as shit shouldn't *have* to use a stylus on my phone, a la a 2006 Palm Treo, but if I'm doing serious artwork – or even work work – on my super-jumbo 2732 x 2048 tablet, I probably want and need it.
