@jonson You went to Brentwood Science? I used to live a couple blocks from there, in the wild-and-wooly O.J. days. I've used Gretna Green as a cut-through more times than I can count. More recently, we brought my oldest to the playground a couple times.
As for 1114 being a normal home for her to live in, Zillow has it at around $2.8 million. Which makes it pretty average for that pocket of Brentwood, I guess – and drives home your point about why you're moving to Portland.

@LordJohnWhorfin Yeah, I grew up in Brentwood from 1971 - 1989 before I left for college & the East coast. Came back in 1997 and have stayed ever since (until next Friday, that is).
And while it's silly that a house on Gretna Green would sell for 2.8 MM, it's still just a house on a heavily trafficked street, where anyone can walk up and knock on the door (as opposed to a mansion in a gated community). For example, I doubt Kerry Washington from Scandal (by way of comparison) would live in a home on a public street with little to no driveway, etc. I think celebrities have developed a healthy fear of the american public over the last few years.

2) I didn't realize it but I guess up until the 1970s you could just hand write in a new address on your Drivers' License?
