@ardgedee Sure, but inflation's a bitch. This ad is c. 1980, meaning £55K = US$292,000 in 2014*. So, officially less than a current $400+K Phantom, but not enough that I'll be buying a spare.

@LordJohnWhorfin Yeah, that's more or less what I mean by "good ol' days". The exchange rate during the seventies was frequently over £1=$2.50, so I'm surprised that it amounts to merely $300k in current USD, even setting aside duties and fees.
